Stanislava is the founder and main teacher at Myogis Shala. She has been teaching the Ashtanga Yoga in Mysore style for more than 8 years. She goes regularly to India to study with the lineage holder of the Ashtanga Yoga Paramaguru Sharath Jois.

"I have committed my life to practicing and teaching the Ashtanga Yoga. My main life purpose or better to call it dharma is to help people to find back their inners selfs, to maintain and improve their well-being, to discover connection to their bodies while maintaining peaceful and happy. I found this in Mysore style of the Ashtanga Yoga, where teacher teaches individually their students in the group, giving hands-on adjustments. This way students develop their own practice and become more aware of their bodies & minds.

I found tremendous challenge in this dynamic and physically demanding practice. However, with time, practice taught me to slow down, to save her energy, to use it more efficiently, and overcome fears in her everyday life. It as well taught me to concentrate, focus, and treat my body more consciously. If I do not teach or practice the Ashtanga Yoga, I cook healthy food, read books, travel around the world, drink shot of espresso, or enjoy walking & cycling in the nature with the big smile on my face:)"

I started yoga as a teenager at a local community class in Finland and practiced hatha yoga for several years. I very much enjoyed the calming qualities of the practice, however I was always intrigued by ashtanga yoga which seemed more physically challenging.
During my studies I focused on other activities such as dancing but I deeply missed yoga all the while. Still, it wasn't until a colleague introduced me to Myogis in Brussels that I finally tried ashtanga. It was love at first breath.
The complexity of the postures, the great physical challenge, the structured practice with a clear line of development, the rich philosophical and historical background, the meditative effect, the energy and the peacefulness you can find in the practice all combine to make ashtanga a very appealing discipline.
Now I want to try and help others explore the world of ashtanga yoga by teaching, and with Stanislava's guidance and through workshops I hope to become a considerate and motivating teacher.

I started yoga about 5 years ago. Being half Balinese and growing up in a Hindu culture, it is natural that yoga for me was not only a physical exercise. It is a practice that connects me to my body, my mind and in a way confirms my personal believes. My practice became consistent quite fast as my need to connect with myself and my body grew to balance demanding university life, and now working life.
I started ashtanga in 2015 and I have not looked back since. It has allowed me to deepen my practice physically, as well as mentally. It has given me the awareness, discipline, perseverance and patience with my body and my mind, both on and off the mat. Starting as a assistant, yoga allowed me to learn to teach, to be aware, disciplined and patient not only with myself but also with others.

If someone asked me what my best buy was, I would say the first introduction class to Ashtanga Yoga in Oslo, Norway. Ashtanga has been part of my life for almost 10 years and I have enjoyed every step, bump and turn in the journey. Yoga for me is more about the process then about the end goal. Through practising yoga I have gained awareness of my body, breath and mind, and I hope I will be able to enjoy moving with the breath on the mat for as long as I live.
